Hello
Hi! My name is Zhinan (Joanna) Guo. My research interests focus on mental health interventions, particularly psychedelic-assisted therapies and trauma-informed approaches. I am interested in how these approaches may support people experiencing trauma, substance use, and other mental health challenges, as well as how treatment outcomes and recovery unfold over time. I am also interested in community-based participatory research and value incorporating community perspectives into mental health research and intervention development.
Outside of academics, I love road trips and exploring new places. One of my favorite trips was driving from Columbus to St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, Las Vegas, and finally Los Angeles. I am also a big K-pop fan and enjoy watching movies and science documentaries.
